So with a quivering hand she reached for a cup.

Her eyes growing heavy after just a large gulp.

And the last thing she saw, her eyes closing swift, was a satisfied fear from the wonder land witch.

Decaying Promises

Every night she paced along the ever growing embankment, cursing his,their broken promises. 

At one time there was room in her world for love. Now replaced by this crude misshapen lock, her heart fell vacant. Scorned, scorched, broken, forgotten these were all truths, because the resounding fact of it was, he had left her. Upon her rose covered altar, she had been left, And that vacancy of hope, rotted to hate.

         Any man foolish enough to assume he could win her love, that her walls would crumble met a horrendously ill fate. Thus they died their at her feet,clinging to the crumbling folds of her dress. Eyes peering upward they finally saw the monster he had made her.
